Is it possible your dog may be pregnant and nearing the end of her gestation period?  If your dog is intact and not pregnant she could be experiencing pseudo-pregnancy--they will develop mammary discharge and start producing milk.

Other possibility of milk production in dogs is false pregnancy. False pregnancy symptoms appear 6 weeks to 3 months after last heat cycle. Hormonal changes during heat cycle of dogs are major cause of canine false pregnancy. Increased prolactin level is another cause of this condition. Dogs can show some other early signs of pregnancy along with depression and lethargy. Dogs come out from false pregnancy after 2-3 weeks.

You should see your vet today. Is there any possibility she may be pregnant and has started producing colostrum or could it be a false pregnancy? Another option would be a mammary infection called mastitis which can happen without pregnancy but is most common when pregnant or nursing (or false). Is she in season? You want to get her checked out in case it's something that can get nasty if not treated quickly or in case she could be carrying a litter or something. Hope she's okay.

My dog is the same she likes belly rubs and sleeping on her back so I was rubbing her belly then a liquid came out of her nipple I don't let her really go near male dogs so I don't think shes pregnant but I didnt squeeze her nipple it just came out its like a clear kind of liquid that came out any one can answer?

Hi, I've got a springer spaniel and she is 8 weeks pregnant. Milk has just started coming out of her nipples. As you probably know dogs are pregnant for 9 weeks and 2 days  so my dog has got about a week left. You will notice your dog nesting (making her bed ) quite a lot and I don't no about your dog but mine is very clingy and she won't leave me alone. Make sure you are giving your dog calcium and vitamin D tablets as your dog could go into calcium shock through the stress of giving birth. Also I'm giving my dog liver and scrambled egg for her meals - very good for them. Just keep an eye out you will notice your dog finding a quiet place when your dog is ready. Good luck
