Yes... Cats DO eat rabbits.  We have an outside cat that the previous owners of our house left behind.  It is constantly killing rabbits and leaving them on the doorstep just as it does mice and other smaller animals... It's actually quite gross.  I've owned cats before and had never experienced this... Maybe it just depends on the cat... It's wierd though... I thought that was a dog thing.

Yes and no, because some cats are not afraid to hunt a furry rabbit, other play with them until
they are dead, instead of eating the rabbits right away.

Yes, cats can and will eat Rabbits. My cat is an in door/ out door cat. He always has dry and wet food available. But is always bring stuff home like birds, mice, squirrel, and the latest a jack rabbit that was bigger than him. He didn't just play with it! He ate half of it. Now I have to lock the kitty door because he's bringing them in. He is going crazy with hunting right now and it's really disgusting. I don't know what's gotten in to him. Cat's can be very wild be careful what you put outside. Sorry about your bunny hopefully it just ran away.

My cat is well fed and comes in and out as he pleases, always food in his bowl. I saw him catch and start to eat an adult wild hare (rabbit). They love em and will hunt and kill anything and everything. Ive seen him kill many squirrels.

Yes, they do. My cat is 12 years old and he has recently started hunting rabbits. Unfortunately he hunts bunnies as well as full size rabbits. At times he'll try to eat them and other times, won't. I'm not sure what has caused this new obsession, but he also hunts mice, birds and has even brought home a snake.

My neighbors cat killed 3 of her rabbbits in less than 5 min. Just one cat. I was there. They were pretty clean kills. Quick to. Lucky for the rabits.

On holiday, last year, we saw a cat drag a dead wild rabbit over a wall to its home. We were very surprised as we thought this could not happen. The cat must have been taking it for food. (we did not see the kill, though)

Cats don't eat rabbits but snakes do. How big was the rabbit? A hawk or an owl could have eaten it

Cats DO eat rabbits and I know this because I've experienced it.
I had a rabbit and it he was a outdoor pet. And somehow it came out of his hutch and a cat just ran into my garden and bit my rabbit's neck and ran away with it.
I could see it because I had a CCTV.
