When she was foaming, what was she doing? What she responsive? Did she pee/poop afterwards?
The reason I ask is that if she was unresponsive, shaking, or had a very funny look on her face, and pooped/peed directly after this instance it is possible she seized. If it was a seizure, it would explain why she refused to let you clean her - being upset that she dirtied the floor (although it was out of control, though she does not know that) because she knows that you're not supposed to do that in the house.
