First look at your kitchen, supply closet, bathroom to see if she ate anything toxic. Anything with chew marks on it, that she could have gotten into. Foaming at the mouth can mean she ingested poison. If this is the case, take her to the vet immediately so they can pump her stomach.

Cats will also foam at the mouth if they are nauseous, or about to throw up a hairball. Watch her, and once she does this, clean the area.

Your cat could also be foaming because it ate an insect, or bit a frog. Some animals emit a substance that will be extremely bitter and will make animals foam at the mouth temporarily.

If your cat does not have the rabies shot, this could also be indicative of that.

Ulcers from certain strains of URI can also cause cats to foam at the mouth.

If it's been poisoned, eaten something toxic or poisonous, including houseplants, human food, household cleaners. Please take the cat to the vet or emergency animal clinic as soon as possible. If the cat is not eating, is lethargic, or otherwise acting odd...it's not good. The cat could be really sick .

Well hope for a fact that your cat is just sick or something. If not then it could be rabies. I hate to be the one to tell you this but if it is rabies, then most likely you will have to put your cat to sleep. If you hurry and call the vet ASAP then hopefully it will be fine. Like I said though, don't immediately think rabies because it could be other things. But better safe than sorry.

If you just gave the cat shots or pills, it'll foam at the mouth to try to get rid of the taste and or the pill.
