Can Tapeworm Kill My 7 Week Old Puppy?

Yes.I have been losing my puppies to tapeworms.I just lost 2 yesterday morning.I was worming them with herbal remedies because I thought the store bought ones were killing them.They were fine with the worms in them and as soon as they were expelled the puppies died 2 days later.They won't eat or drink and even if you give them food with a syringe you might still lose them.I was giving the puppies an iron tablet (to help the blood loss) and a vitamin pill to help with their strength and Pedialyte for electrolites.One of my puppies bounced back after 2 days and the other died.I am still researching this myself.It looks like loss of bloos and dehydration causes them to die.I figure from now on as soon as I see one little tape worm I am going to start them on the iron pills right away and the herbal worm medicine maybe I won't lose the.I bought the herbal worm medicine at Swansons and it was the cheapest around, but you can buy the cloves,and garlic powder at the store and the woormwood at a speciatly store if you can find it or go on line and get it.It expells the worms good but make sure that puppy is drinking a lot of water.And keep up with things because the net just said that even once the whole worm is gone there may still be some unhatched worms in the puppys system.
