It depends on the breed or mixture of the puppy and how cold is cold. Some breeds like the Samoyed, Siberian Husky, and Malamute can take temperatures that are quite cold. Others like the chihuahua, like warmer weather.

I would check with my vet as to when you could take the baby out into the cold. Personally, I wouldn't think of bringing a pup out into really cold weather until she was at least 8 weeks.
