Yes this is not all that unusual at all. If you don't take your cat to the vet immediately try using some form of garlic in the cats food I use garlic powder in the wet food for about a week. This helps to kill and eliminate the worms. There are also worming agents sold at any local pet or discounts store. This issue should be addressed immediately worms can kill your cat.

Yes, a kitten of this age can have intestinal parasites. Do NOT give your cat garlic--this is toxic to cats and it is dose dependent so even a small amount in a young kitten can be serious. It is important to have a stool sample checked by a veterinarian to determine the type of parasites present--sometimes there are more than one. Treatment varies pending the type of intestinal parasite.

Yes honey... I read the other answer, make sure you don't use ONION powder, it WILL kill the kittens. I'm not sure about the garlic, I've never heard of that, but I DO KNOW that onions can kill them. I'd recommend taking her to the vet to get her dewormed.

I think some kittens are born with worms and if not may get them from ingesting a flea on the parent or siblings of the kitten so if you get a kitten you should get it dewormed I just got a new kitten and she does indeed have worms we are either getting her dewormed or going to the vet on Monday. Also if your kitten doesn't get worms in the first few weeks then your curious bud probably will ingest an egg or flea eventually whether in kitten hood or adulthood.
