My Dog Does Not Bark At All, I Do Not Understand Why.?

I have a standard poodle that I purchased when he was 8mo old, he is now 11 mo. He has not barked once since we have had him. I have a toy poodle also that barks at the sound of a car door outside and the standard looks up, but no bark..Is there something wrong with this? I have owned standards(poodles) in the past and they barked appropriately.

It's probably scared of someone/something...try taking her/him for a walk, and be more comfortable with him/her.
