It depends because if its young and it's winter or fall then that might be why.
Being domesticated and pets they prefer and do best inside the home with their family usually. The breed is people oriented as well and likes to spend lots of time with their family. Your dog might be cold since it's getting into winter and it can take some time to acclimate to lower temperatures.
They aren't really built for being in colder temperatures for extended periods of time like a more sled tye breed would be. They don't have a thick insulating coat, they aren't even double coated.They aren't built to have much body fat either so physically it would usually be an indication that they would be a little more sensitive to lower temperatures and needing adequate protection from the cold and snow if they spend more time outdoors.
