Next time you are at the vets, have him check her anal glands. Emptying them may reduce the sniffing.

The charcoal may or may not help, but is worth trying.

You could also try a different food. Not the premium or additive free stuff some would suggest, just something with different ingredients.

Rescheduling her feeding time might help too. Years ago we solved the problem by feeding the dog at bedtime. By the next morning, he was fit to have around.

You can try charcoal biscuits which are supposed to soak up the excess gas in the gut, therefore preventing it being 'vented' by the dog. You can buy them in pet shops.
