Which pink are you asking about? The pink that tends to appear after excercise and that sort of thing? That is just usually blood flow and shows more on white, thinner coated areas on some dogs like Dals and IG's ect.
Do you mean pink that will eventually turn red like maybe around the mouth or on the legs and feet? That is usually enzymes from the saliva. If it's your pups legs and feet it indicates they are licking and chewing a lot and having some issues often due to food. Many dogs will exhibit food allergies to lower quality foods. Dalmations can be a bit tricker and usually need more particular diets to help balance things out and prevent and ease some of their issues (allergies, some balance issues as well as high incidence of urinary tract issues ect.).
They don't usually telerate high protein very well and can also help aggravate urinary issues. I feed Innova (NOT Evo), green bag and you might check that out as a comparison if you begin to have issues with your dalmation. I have known several that did well on a beef based yet lower protein diet but they were led there through other issues with other foods and isn't generally reccomended for them initially because a beef diet may have too much purine for them and lead to problems as well. They can be tricky but best to work on prevention however and whenever you can.
Sometimes it depends on if they have nasty allergies and which way they lean. Any switch in food should be done very slowly, though at least a half a bag of the previous food if not a whole bag.
The first link is the breed parent club for information and resources for you and the others contain some information on diet if you want to begin learning and looking into that sort of thing.
