I'm an American Bulldog breeder and yes, it is normal for your AB to have black spots (almost like a Dalmatian) on his skin.  It's not in the coat, it's actually pigment on their skin.

I also have an AB pure breed that looks identical to yours... THEY ARE IN NO WAY AFFILIATED with PITTS !!!!! Dozer has those spots too, my vets told me they are actually born with them, however you can't see them until their skin stretches... Hence why they seem to be getting bigger as they grow !!!!

I just bought an 8 week old American Bulldog and I was wondering the same thing.  I found out that American Bulldogs do have black spots on their skin and sometimes their nose, it is completely normal.
Also, American Bulldogs and Pitts come form the same family so thats why they have a resemblance....

They are not the same family the Pitbull are from the terrier family and the AB is from the Mastiff family. Here is some better clarification on that thanks http://www.access2knowledge.org/animals/whats-the-difference-between-an-american-bulldog-vs-pitbull/

I know this is kinda late.. But I have a American Bulldog that is mixed with pitbull and she is the same way as yours. She actually looks IDENTICAL to yours except her hair is not as long as yours.. It is normal for them to have a little bit of black spots on their skin. According to my oldman... All pure blood american bulldogs have black spots on their skin.. If they do not have them then they are not pure blooded..

It completely normal for an American Bulldog to have black spots. My AB is all white, but you can see the spots on his skin, really good when hes wet; however yo can still see the spots when he is not wet. Anyways yes it is normal, my dog is a pure-breed and I have the papers to prove it.

Your dog doesn't exactly look like a an American bulldog... Actually it looks like a pit bull mix. I have a white pibull & the face ias identical to your dogs face. I was wondering the same thing about the black spots. But it turns out that any white pitbull that I have ever seen, they all have the black spots on their skin.

The spots might be part of a mix if it is a mix. But that is what I suggest

There is a difference in the breeds you need to look them up rokinurbed. What a name for a 13 year old to be using.

Most people mistake American Bulldogs for Pitbulls, but there is a noticeable difference between the 2 breeds and if you research them you will be able to tell the difference. This is straight from the AKC's website about American Staffordshire Terrier (basically a pitbull):
"Any color, solid, parti, or patched is permissible, but all white, more than 80 per cent white, black and tan, and liver not to be encouraged." So if you have a pit that is mostly white, it shouldn't be lol.
