Yes it's normal. Be sure to keep her completely away from all intact males at leat 4 months and up at all times until at least 7 to 10 days after the bleeding stops and the swelling goes down. Don't take her in public at all or even leave her in the fenced back yard alone and if you have an intact male in the home be sure everyone in the home knows not to open doors. Males can smell her for miles away and will come over, under, through doors, windows fences ect. To get at her. You may want to speak to your vet about having her spayed in a few weeks or so. No more mess, fuss, stress, she'll be healthier and live longer and you don't have to worry about the dangers of pregnancy or STD or pyometra or lots of things like that anymore. Good luck to you.
