Sometimes. Not on every dog. Some you can't feel until whelp is right around the corner (like mine). Depends on the dog. They can see them moving around on an ultrasound though if they aren't showing much. The girl in the pic doesn't even really look pregnant at all usually until the last couple of weeks, I would never know without my earlier standard confirmation. If they are only carrying one puppy or something it is also less likely and more likely they will need a c-section as well. Using just physical signs can be unreliable and very dangerous.
