Milk will not help with constipation and potentially could cause diarrhea.  In many instances people think their dogs are constipated when they are actually having diarrhea.  Diarrhea increases the urge to defecate so they posture to defecate and nothing is produced.  It would be best to have this dog examined by a veterinarian.  Your veterinarian can diagnose the problem and start appropriate treatment.

Milk will work, or you can give her some metamucil to get her straightened out.   small dogs approx  1 1/2 teaspoons large dogs 2 teaspoons. (mix with food)
