If your dog just gave birth it's because she's producing colostrum and not milk and the actual milk comes in 3 or 4 days later usually. Make sure your basic food is of a high quality and add canned food or puppy is usually good. You can also try adding a sprinkle of puppy replacement milk and even giving her some supplement like nutrical or nutristat as well. I add some A/D (from the vet)to my girls canned food every 3 or 4 days until the pups are ready to start trying eating on their own. However, you must be very careful and make sure your girl needs extra steps because the more milk they produce the more calcium they need and low calcium levels can cause death but too much calcium is bad too so it's best to consult with your vet and figure out what's best for everyone all the way around.
