Loss of appetite signals nausea is present. There are many things that can cause nausea leading to lack of appetite. Certain diseases and illnesses are more common in certain age groups of dogs. Your veterinarian will do an initial examination and determine which diagnostic tests are appropriate. Bloodwork and x-rays are often first line diagnostics.
