The easiest way to explain lack of sleep that I have found is that usually it is my brain in overdrive thinking about something that is stressing me. Whether that be work, my future, or other topics, if something is stressing me out, I sometimes can not fall asleep. Even in the waking hours, stress can only be harmful to your health, and especially so when you are trying to sleep. Sleep is a necessary body system that allows your body to repair itself, both physically and mentally. There are several sleep cycles. During three of them, your body is being repaired and during the fourth, or REM sleep, your brain is repairing itself. It is still in use, but it is on "sleep" mode, if you will. You can literally force yourself to sleep if you stay awake long enough straight through because at some point, your body reaches its physical limit and the brain MUST shut down to repair. This is the case with every human. I suggest  you Sleep cycle alarm clock through this you get more results about Sleep Cycle .

This kitten needs to be examined by a veterinarian immediately.  Kittens can be very sensitive to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and this causes neurological signs--like stumbling and disorientation.  If severe enough hypoglycemia can cause seizures.
Hypoglycemia can be the primary problem or can be secondary to other diseases.  Trauma is also possible in a young cat.
Kittens do not have a lot of reserve when they become sick and often need aggressive therapy.
