Please do not breed there is to many animals out there that need to be rescued. I have to female pits and 1 male all rescued before they were put to death. If you really care about the animals stop the breeding. Most people that breed just do it for the money find another way to make money.
On the weekend of august 1st I rescued another 2 month old pit that the pound was going to kill. Do not breed I wish people would stop breeding do you no how many pitbulls there our that need a home now? Out of every 600 pitbulls only one gets a home. I just want to cry because you want to breed let it go.

Thanks,
tamara

I AM SORRY I READ YOUR QUESTION WRONG I HAVE REPYED ONCE .

IF YOUR DOG IS AGGRESSIVE IN ANY MANNER IN MY OPINION YOU SHOULD NOT BREED HER AT ALL AND FIX HER .

YOU SHOULD NOT BREED ANY DOG THAT IS AGGRESSIVE NO MATTER WHAT BREED IT IS .
IF YOU AR UNABLE TO HANDLE HER AND SHE IS SO AGRESIVE TOWARD MALES WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO PUT HER IN A POSITION WHERE SHE COULD GET HURT OR HURT ANOTHER DOG .
YOU MUST LOOK OUT FOR HER WELL BEING SHE CAN'T.

SOUNDS AS IF THIS IS NOT A DOG THAT SHOULD BE BREED AND SHOULD BE SPAYED .
DO YOU REALIZE WHAT KIND OF LIABILITY YOU YOUR SELF ARE UNDER , LOOK AT YOUR LAWS AND YOU MIGHT THINK DOUBLE OR TRIPLE TWICE ABOUT EVEN CONSIDERING THIS

Be loving and kind do not play aggresive with this dog such as games of tug a war or restle -play bal frisbe .
Do not chain this dog out ,they feel traped and can't get away if they need to there stuck .
Have a fenced yard is very good- do not leave him in alone out side in the yard if there are people around to tease him and make him aggresive.
Excersise is so important and will elp for behavior issues and he will be a much happy healthier dog as well as you.
Make sure you spay or nuter him or her this will help also .
Take your dog to obedience class this will last a life time if you practice it and are consistent you should have a good dog.
You must be able to handle him because they are strong and smart and a dominet breed you must be able to handle him with positive attitude and behavior.
Last but least socialize him take him places and introduce him to people and other dog right way - keep him well socialized and have you and others treat him with respct and kindness

First of all it just depends. At the end of the day she's is what you call a female. They get frustated just like us. My female was in heat and if my male pit mounted on her the wrong way should would bite him on the neck. There was a certain way he had to get on her. She was what you call sexually frustated.

Take the dog to obedience classes.  Learn how to discourage aggression through training your dog, and yourself.

Well, for one your dog is supposed to be aggressive if she is not in her acceptance phase. A responsible breeder protects both dogs with a muzzle if necessary. It is very important for you to make sure she is at the right phase to breed, her drainage needs to be the color of straw. This happens around the 2-3 wk of her cycle, but all dogs are not the same. Also she needs to be atleast 2 yrs of age to breed. If you do not have a top quality dog with a top quality male to breed to maybe you should not bring more second rate dogs into this world. Breeding is not something people who do not know what they are doing should try to do.

I do not claim to be an expert on pit bulls, but if you do not want an aggressive dog, why buy one which has that purpose and reputation?
In the first instance get her checked by a vet just in case there is a medical cause. If not, then consult a behaviour therapist. If unsuccessful in curing this you need to be responsible - think how bad you would feel if she attacked someone.
It sounds like her aggression is aimed at other dogs. Why are you surprised by this, you have - and are intending to breed- a fighting dog.
I do not know which country you are in, but please be aware that breeding from these dogs is illegal in Great Britain.

Not all pitbulls have aggression problems. I rescue pits before they get killed and 3 of them have lived happily ever after in my home. Have you ever had a pit if not dont be so ignorant educate yourself. They score higher then any other breed in temperment. They also are used for watching over the kids in england there the nanny dog. Your like all the other ignorant people out there that have never had a pit but quick to judge. I would never live in a state that bans pits.

Natcherley - There are NO pit bulls used over here in England for watching over kids, you are the ignorant one here. They are a banned breed - no-one may own one that is not registered, neutered and muzzled when out in public. They do not score higher in good temperament tests than other breeds , not tests conducted under research parameters anyway. I understand that this breed has some die-hard fans, however this should not blind you to their down-sides

Natch, you are confusing pit bulls with staffordshire bull terriers. Staffies are one of the breeds used to create pit bulls, but pure bred staffies are smaller, with smaller, rounder heads and less developed looking jaws. They are an old pure breed in Britain, and known as good with children. BUT they are a completely different kettle of fish to a pit bull. Since PBT were banned here, many owners of them are claiming their dogs are staffies to get around the law. Hope this clears things up.
