Either your hamster is not taking in adequate nutrition (not eating) or has an underlying medical condition that has led to weight loss. Hamsters will stop eating if they have overgrown teeth, oral sores, or oral masses. Other metabolic diseases or cancer are possible as well. Have your hamster examined by a veterinarian to determine if the problem is in the oral cavity and may be easily treated.
