It is possible that your dog is eating excessively but losing weight. Many pathological conditions can cause increase in appetite and loss of weight. These conditions can be absorptive disorders of the gastrointestinal tract like inflammatory bowel disease, problems with pancreas and intestinal cancer. Diabetes, Cushing's syndrome, insulinomas, liver tumors can also cause increased appetite and loss of weight.

Diagnosis require many lab works and screening investigations to diagnose properly. After the diagnosis of root cause, treatment options can be used. So, visit a vet for this purpose.

Tapeworms? (worms that live in the stomach and eat whatever the dog eats) (humans can have tapeworms too)
