We have 2 Olde English Bulldogges with the long hair Cocoa and Chewy (looks like Chewbacca from Star Wars) and they are simply beautiful. We get get stopped at least 20x's everytime we go out in public with them! People are just facinated with they way they look. Everyone tries to guess what breed. I have enrolled my male in pet therapy classes and am hoping to bring smiles to as many people as I can. I simply love these 2!
Yes we have one
My husband and I have one. His name is Dude and he has the best disposition. We would love to have another one but we cannot find any. If you have one, you are very lucky. Everyone loves our Dude and all want to take him home with them.
Yes coz av got 1 and I own both parents but they not long haired but he still is a pure little stunner.
Yes they can. I have a male, A-Jay, whose father had long hair. A-Jay just sired a litter of 10 puppies and 2 of them have long hair. One is coarse but fluffy, and the other is soft and silky like their grandfather's.
Melissa, could you share a picture of your dogs as young puppies if you have them?
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much!
Yes they can. We have one too! It is a very rare gene that the mother carries. One breeder we know has been breeding american bulldogs for about 8 or 9 years and have had only one litter with long hair pups. Only part of that litter was long haired.
It is considered a fault for a AB to have long hair
I have one to, his name is crash! People never believe when I tell him hes an American bulldog. Oh well but everyone loves him!
They can have long hair, but it's a disqualification at a conformation dog show. AB's are not supposed to have long hair.
