A shah pei could be mated to a German shepherd. You need to be aware that both of these breeds are prone to specific and different health problems. If you were really unlucky you could get pup(s) with the problems of both parent breeds. It is really important that both parents are as healthy and sound examples of their breeds as can be found.
I had one but he passed away not to long ago. The breed is what I like to call a Ger-Pay. They r very loyal and beautiful dogs. They have long life spans, no to mention they have big heads to but you know it only makes them cuter. So far the colors r tan and black. They shed a lot n r highly active. Which means lots of excersize. They play nice with other pets, but like any other dog you have keep an eye out for signs of aggresion, they r affctionate and would give there life for you. They tend to get really atached to one person of there choosing but don't worry other then that they love you n protect as if they tink your there puppys. Nnot just the one person they choose asthere "favorate" but everyone they r close to. Babys shouldnt be left alone with them of course theres nothing to worry bout then the normal stuff. They drool a bit but not to much its only when hungry. They rjoys train because its easy to do. N you can sit dowcurl up n watch tv or go out n run n play with them n they will be happy.
A Shar-Pei will grow to be about 40-65 pounds, with it's height being between 18-20 inches. A German Shepherd will be between 49-88 pounds, with it's height being between 22-26 inches.
Any two dogs, as long as they are not spayed or neutered, can mate. I haven't heard of a Shar-Pei and German Shepherd mix, but I would assume that the resulting puppies would grow large, like their parents, and be highly intelligent and good guard dogs.
