Actually, rice baby cereal mixed with softened, mashed-up puppy food IS a very good food for such a young puppy, and I used to start out my pups on this formula when I was beginning to introduce them to solid foods in preparation for weaning. Rice cereal contains extra calcium that all growing young animals, including humans, need, and it's easy to digest. It's also a good thing to keep handy in case you have a dog that is sick and recovering from an illness, since it won't upset the dog's stomach. You can mix some chicken or lamb baby food with it for taste and protein.
