You can not feed it only bread with milk. Baby birds need different nutrients that are not in bread of milk. As gross as it sound, the best thing to feed it is, different insect mashed up. (No wings or hard shells. If you are going to feed it insects with wings, the wings must be removed first because they are hard to digest. Also obviously no bees or beetles. You can also feed it hard boiled egg yolks mix to a creamy texture with whole milk. Another good things to feed it if you don't wish to mash up insects is crushed up cat food mixed with water or milk. Milk is good to mix with because vitamin D is very important to them. You can use a medicine syringe to feed it. Baby birds generally need to eat every 20 Min's during the day and not through the night since the mother doesnt feed them at night. I hope this helps...

I just researched it after finding one in the road, no others around. Never give a bird milk, they cannot tolerate it. I went to the local pet store and got a mix of baby bird food powder to mix w/water for six dollars. They also have nice gooey worms, two bucks.

I too read not to feed any kind of dairy product to any bird. They are lactose intolerant and will not be able to digest the food. My brother told me about a formula that can be purchased from PetSmart, unfortunately, we don't have one here. I will have to check Wal-Mart for the formula or another pet store here.
