Average start for a pup from a good breeder (applicable health and placement screening, knowledge, support, good pups ect.) is anywhere from $800 to $1500 (which is also seen with many people who don't follow good breeding and placement practice) and is less from a shelter or rescue of course. The breed parent club is a great place to start looking for good breeders, rescue and breed information and is the first link below. This is not a breed for just anyone or that should be in the hands of the inexperienced and poor breeding and lack of support can make things much worse.
