It could be a lot of things something she ate could be a upset stomic also could be worms I would take your dog to the vet and get a stool sample done just to make sure its nothing big also make sure it drinks lots of water dehydration can happen very quickly in a animal and can kill them I hope this helps and hope your baby is feeling better soon one more thing my vet told me to help with the diarrhea give your dog plain yogurt pumkin or cottie cheese just make sure they are plain

It could be something he ate, a cold, or any # of different things. You should try some rice or cheese and see if that doesn't tighten up the stools, but if that doesn't help, you will need to get him to the vet to be seen, as diarrhea can cause dehydration rather quickly and can make the situation worse. Hi Marybeth12, Dogs could get diarrehea, for many of reasons, maybe it was just something the dog ate, if it is still playing and drinking , eating, I would keep a very close eye on it though, by the way GOOD JOB paying attention to your dogs bowels, you can tell a lot about you dogs health that way. 

A change of food, parasites,  treats,  nervousness,  eating bugs.  Take a sample of poo to the vet and they can test it for parasites.  It will run approx 45.00 for lab work and diarrhea medication.
