You need to keep the wound clean. My male cat just had a wound on his neck from fighting and I cleaned it twice a day with peroxide. I wasn't sure if I should use it but it was pushing and it healed in just a few days. Since she can lick the area I would use the peroxide and let it bubble and then wipe it off with a damp cloth so she doesn't ingest any peroxide. As for the litter problem, at petsmart they sell cling wrap that isn't tape but will stick to itself. I would wrap her paw in it and it should keep litter from getting to the wound. Keep a very close eye on it and if it doesn't heal you'll have to take her to the vet for antibiotics. I hope she's running around soon. Good luck!

I woke up one day and seen that my cats foot was broken, so I put a cast on it. I took it off and then she licked her foot raw. It still seems that her foot hurts her very much, and there is a bad raw spot. What should I do? How should I treat it?
