If you are buying a guinea-pig, purely for the sake of caring for it as a pet, then there are three main ways in which you can buy guinea-pigs.
If you are buying from a pet-store, guinea-pigs usually cost around £15.

Secondly, you can also purchase guinea-pigs from the actual breeder, who may be advertising the sale. The price is usually around £15-£20, depending on what you haggle, but reason for the price being more is usually because the breeder may throw in a few extras such as "hiding-pots" and bowls. (well the breeder we went to did anyway :)

Thirdly, you can buy guinea-pigs from rescue-shelters, which usually house guinea-pigs who have been dumped or are unwanted. There is usually no charge for the actual guinea-pig, but there is an 'un-written rule' that you make a donation to the shelter of the price of a guinea-pig (£15+)! To sum up then, guinea-pigs in the UK can cost about £15-£20, but these prices can vary, depending on where you buy it, and whether you are making a donation!

Hope this helps you

Prices are usually above $10. Try to pick one that shows no signs of hair loss or fatigue as this may be an indicator of more issues. Always use the freshest leaf vegetables you can find. Keep the water as fresh as possible being on the alert for a greenish color that could indicate mold is forming. Don't just fill the bottles, rinse them first. Our latest one lived almost nine years. Like people, look for a change of personality as a very negative indicator. If you suspect something is wrong-don't wait! Some vets will charge less for a visit placing it into a different class of sorts. Prepare yourself to fall in love. There is help, by the way, online. Look for it. Good luck.

You r all wrong! Between $10-$100 It Depends on where, when what breed it is and how old it is! And yes I do know I have been breeding guinea pigs for 4 years. I am also apart of The North QLD Cavy Club so. If you want just a short hair that is usually between $10 and $20 as I said it depends on the breed. A long-haired is between $30 and $50 it also depends on the breed of the longhair. And new breeds are usually more expensive between $50 and $100 which is a rip off but hey. ! Get your life time companion!

At petsmart for 2 $64 but if you want to know the entire costs of the cage and etc. Then it is like $100-$200. If you spoil your guinea pig like me then about $280.

The term 'guinea pigs' as used in your question describes somebody whom scientists can use to experiment new things and their body is treated as the experimental lab to discover new products. The way you have asked the question seems that you are asking about the cost with which you can hire a guinea pig to perform a job for you. It is not legal for you to pay money to somebody and use his body to suffer the repercussions of your experiment.

But I can certainly suggest you some methods with which you can convince people that your experiment is good for the humanity and by co-operating with you they are doing favour to the mankind. If you are able to convince them about experiments and if they think that your methods are full proof and they will face no bad consequence because of your method, they will agree to become guinea pigs for you and contribute to your experiment.
