Guinea pigs need hay everyday to keep themself healthy and if they don't get it everyday it could cause problems for their digestive system so you are correct in giving it everyday. I don't think you can give a guinea pig too much hay but if you do give them too much hay they may waste it by using it as bedding or soil it.A routine is good by giving a handful in the morning and later in the afternoon or night.
Just remember to give Fresh water and greens everyday as well as dry food. Hope I helped

It is perfectly okay if you give your guinea pig timothy hay everyday. It would harm his health but please make sure that you give him hay to a limited extent. Don't give him too much; just a moderate amount is good!

Yes, for thier digestive system. They only need a hand-full a day. If your guinea pig starts to get fat, give her a diet of half a handful and give her pellets of a 1/4 cup of pellets.

That's a strange answer, I don't know if he's just pulling your leg or what. Guinea pigs need access to fresh hay all day every day and that includes timothy hay. The other most common variety, alfalfa hay, is best for babies and pregnant mothers as it has more calcium. Piggies need to nibble on hay all day to keep their teeth from growing too long which could have lethal consequences.

Oh! And of course they need hay for fibre. If my guinea pig goes even a day without hay she becomes constipated and by all visible signs seems to have a sore tummy.
