Yes they do,I have experience with chicken the grass they eat here is called water grass.

Definently no although chicken are also an animal which we can categorize as domestic animal and all these animal have their different feeds there some animals that their own major food is grasses (herbivore) some are eating flesh (carnivore) some feeds on decayed which we can also classified as scavengers lastly those that feeds on both grass and flesh are also categorized as (omnivore) so the major feeds for chicken is either maize or guineacorn.
