Check GENTLY his paws to look for a splinter/sliver. If there is no foreign body in his paws, then he could have either broken or sprained/strained his leg. I'd keep an eye on him and if no better in the am, call your vet. Check his paws first though.

I'll say a prayer for him!!! Love, Happy2bgina

Thank you , yes he is an indoor cat and I do have a 3 year old who was around the time he did get hurt or when I noticed so I'm not to sure what happened but one minute he was fine and the next minute he was dragging it, now he is walking a very little, but I'm pretty sure its not a sliver... Ill just have to keep a good look out for him tonight and if he is the same tomorrow ill have him be seen!!! Thanks again

I think you should take him to the vet ASAP just in case it dosn't get any worse... And it may be an infection

Cats cannot complain like humans. They can only depend on you to understand what really is happening to them. If your cat is limping and you know that is not injured, it is a good decision to take it to the vet. Sometimes the cause is easy to diagnose while at other times, it can be tough. The vet will examine which joint is actually causing the problem. If there is a swelling, heat or soreness, the doctor may be able to find out the affected joint. He may even take an x-ray to get more conclusive information. Another thing you can do from your side is find out if there is a thorn stuck into the paw. Overgrown nails can also be a problem. There is wealth of information given with reference to the 'whys' and 'hows' of pets limping on www.petpages.comarticle/why_is_my_pet_limping-645.html

My cat is declawed (for about 8 years), he just started limping , I think its coming from the front legs. He seems able to jump up on things.  What should I do?
