Did you inspected it. Is it swelling and is there anything that seems to be stuck in it. Does She/he lets you squeeze gently on it and move his/her little toes. Cat's can sprain their paw.
If the cat's paw is cold to the touch?- Is she/he meowing in pain? There is something wrong. If so she/he could have a blood clot. Take the cat to the vet ASAP.
