When you are stung by a 'killer bee' (the colloquial term for Africanized honey bees) local swelling around that particular area where the bee stung you is perfectly normal. What you can do is apply ice to that area so you can keep swelling down. You can also take anti-histamines in order to lessen that irritation and itchiness you feel. Always remember that if you have any doubts, you should seek medical attention.

Understand that unless you have an extremely severe allergy to this bee venom you will not die from a single sting. Statistically speaking not even 1 percent of the people is actually allergic to stinging insects. Keep in mind that honey bees make up just 1 of the thousands of varieties of stinging insects.
