Zoos give animals so many things but animals are made to be in the wild and have to hunt their own food not be treated like people because thats not what they are here for I think animals should live where they have to stay

Even if they protect the animals it wouldnt matter. It wouldn't matter because even if you breed more animals they would never be able to go back into the wild.

I personally don't believe that it is cruel to keep animals in a zoo.
The whole idea of keeping animals in a zoo is so that
1) To take care of them their entire lives, so that they have no need to learn how to fend for themselves. {Especially if they were born to a trainer or in a zoo.}

2) a lot of the time, many of the zoo-kept animals belong to an endangered species, therefore caring for such an animal in a zoo guarentees the hope of rebuilding that species.

3) Without zoos everyday people would not have the oppurtunity to see extrordinary animals for ourselves. Much of Nature would remain as a question without us actually being able to see.

I think some zoo's are cruel to animals but some arent. They are all bad for taking animals out of thier habitat but some zoo's treat the animals right while others don't.

Zoos claim to help with conservation. However, hardly any zoo  registers their animals on an international species database and most zoo animals are not endangered at all.

Zoos take very good care of there animals.  They make sure the animals have plenty of room to run around and plenty of food and water.

Yeah they leave them room and give them food but at the same time the animals are taken out of their habit in the wild and locked in ONE room till they die. Sometimes they take the child from the mom before its time for them to leave to help make money cause they think that babies make exhibts look better. All in all its wrong

Some zoos protect animals from being endangered and vulnerable but others can be very cruel.

No I do not believe animals should be locked up in cages, and as far as I am concerned it is cruel to lock an animal up like that unless it is extreme circumstances it is done to protect them from danger and it is the last resort to keep them safe, but even then it should be done for the shortest time but as I said only for thier own protection. Even then it would be better to bring them inside until the danger has passed.Animals have feelings just like humans and if you saw an animal that is treated like that they do forgive people and to ask any animal shelter they can tell you that even after being mistreated they will remain loyal. Yes and afraid as well in case they continue to be mistreated, but they are still loyal just the same. So no do not keep them locked in a cage, it is really cruel

Kind of depends on the 'zoo' and how they do or are able to care for their animals. Just like anything else there's good and bad. There are many good zoos that also participate in breeding programs (aiming for wider and better gene pools and release and/or exchange when possible) for species that are in big trouble. However, we've learned some invaluable things from the decent zoos and if WE keep it up it will be the only place we will be able to see many of the animals because they'll be the only places they exist once we've taken all their space and torn down their homes for own uses. :-(
