I have an old Quarter Horse with sever allergies. When his allergies flare up like they are now he gets 30cc of children's liquid benedryl 2x's a day. This dose was recommended by my horse vet. It has never seemed to bother him, I have been giving this to him for years. If I don't he rubs all the hair off his body itching.And its safer then the cortisone shots.
