We also have a Pitbull/Bosten Terrier mix and we trained him just like we did all are other dogs. I kennel train all my dogs, making sure they go outside after eating and drinking, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It took me 2 weeks to train ours, he was 8 weeks old. We have trained him to sit, speak, catch, shake, and lay down. He is now 15 months old and a real joy to have around. He is still overly excited when people come over and wants to greet them by jumping up for attention. This we are still working on. He is very loving and a lot of fun.
Dear Guest, I don't believe that there is a Boston Terrier Way nor a Pitbull Way. He or She is a puppy and, well you must train him like a puppy. Always work with him on new tricks and commands and he or she will always hold a special place in your heart. I have a almost 4 year old American Staffordshire terrier. He's awesome, but was stubborn to train. He's been doing great in training and he's just a great dog to be around. So, I think wether or not you decide to train your Puppy one way or another, Remember that he/she is a puppy, breeds are really no different. I hope this helped!
What way is the Pitbull way and the Boston Terrier way? Any puppy needs patience and should never be struck for wrong doing, you have to remember they are babies and everything is new to them. I will say it has been my experience that Pit Bulls are very stubborn in the training process. I have a 2 year old Pit Bull.
I have a full pit and boston..I find that the pit will take on the characteristic of a boston you must remember there all terrier...I say train your pup as you would a boston its a joy /boston 8yrs-pit7mnths
