Labradors tend to be very energetic and strong. I havent had experience of the retriever breed but I imagine they have similar traits. The retrievers I have met seem to be abit more chilled out but none the less they are likely to be hungry e.g. they will eat anything and everything. Looks wise I feel they are one of the best looking dogs you can get, and are particularly good for families.
