It wouldnt hurt to go to the vets, but if you can provide with more information, it would be easier to tell, like - have you seen a difference in her stool? Is she drinking/eating properly? If you don't know the answer the the drinking part, hold her/him by the scruff of her neck and if it bounces back fast she/he is drinking, if it bounces slow, she/he is not getting enough , there is a possibility that if he or she has Diereea - it could possibly have a life threating desise that can kill her/him called wet tail . If it does have wet tail - the only solution is go to the doctors or keep it hydrated! - best of luck to the hammie!-owner of 11 proud hamsters :)
