Well you should walk a dog no matter what size or breed , a chihuahua has a lot of energy so walk him/her one in the morning and one in the afternoon at least so they get to have a bit of fresh air , have a good time with their owner and bond with other dogs ! Before you are going to bed then let him/her in the garden for a wee or poo , and remember that your dog is only small so don't walk him/her for too long because this can tire them out .
I have a chihuahua and I walk her 4 times a day. Because chihuahuas have a lot of energy despite their size. And My Chihuahua loves to go for walks. But don't take them on a long walk. I walk mine for about 3 minutes
No need to walk them at all. They get all the exercise they need running around the house, cause they are so tiny.
Well actually there is no need to walk her/him. They get enough exercize just walking around the house.
Oh man, that is totally true, but untrue. They get a lot of exerciser just by running around the house, and if you have a big/tall bed, just have them jump on and off all day, they should be good... But I would say once around a block or two/per day should be good. :D That kind of depends on how big the blocks are, what the weather outside it... How hot, how cold, windy? Rainy? Sunny? Etc...
The hot concrete can/will burn them bad, be careful, but if you see them panting, pick them up and walk them the rest of the way. When you think they are ready, put them back down.
Panting isn't a sign of thirst, it's a sign of exhaustion.
You're dog CAN get sick if it's raining.. Meaning, it is more at risk. Not saying you shouldn't walk it in the rain.
