I have studied dogs for 5 years and I have a dog of my own and had a similar problem. Although the runs my dog had were white instead of orange and she also lacked an appetite. It may be a little more serious case of bronchitas and you should see your vet immedietly to check if this is what he/she has and get medicine for him/her. This usually is not serious.
