I really think you should consult a vet about this as it is not advisable to give animals human medication. Hope your puppy gets well soon.

You call your/a vet asap. If your pup is unable to go to the bathroom it isn't a good thing and can be serious. It could be something like intestinal blockage (pups eat lots of things they aren't supposed to) which needs a veterinarian. It may be something minor but not worth the risk (and higher bills) of waiting. The shaking probably means your pup is in pain due to whatever else is going on. I hope it's nothing much and your baby is feeling better very soon.

Thanks to you for your good advice I just got off the phone with the vet and have some ideas for little Bruce's pain and comfort until our appointment this afternoon. Im quite new to having a puppy and only want the best, he is such a good companion since Greta (my lovely better half of 55 years past last month) Thanks again and god bless

You are welcome. Let us know how he's doing please. I'm so sorry about Greta and glad Bruce is doing such a good job. If you need help with anything, let us know. Hopefully this is just a silly puppy thing and glad it doesn't seem to sound serious to them w/ the advise of the canned pumpkin ect. After getting some details. That stuff, strange it can work both ways ;-). Be sure you don't actually accidentally grab pie filling though and it's just pumpkin, lol, I've definitely done it.
