Borax has many uses including its use as an insecticide. Exposure can cause respiratory and skin irritation. Ingestion can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, lethargy and abdominal pain. You need to ingest a significant amount for it to be lethal but it is possible. I think to be safe, try and avoid exposure to your animals.

Borax should not be where a pet or child can get to it or walk in it.
It could kill them.

Brewer yeast is good to give your pet for fleas.

One of my cats loved the taste of it and the other did not.
