This dog needs to be examined by a veterinarian immediately.  Painful, hard, and distended abdomen could be a sign of bloat aka GDV (gastro-intestinal volvulus).  This can be a life threatening problem.  There are other serious causes of intense abdominal pain--foreign body obstruction, pancreatitis, or trauma could explain these signs.  Have this dog examined so your veterinarian can identify the cause and start appropriate treatment.

You should inform about other symptoms that your dog is showing. Note for following symptoms in your dog.
  1. Restlessness
  2. Pacing
  3. Drooling
  4. Unproductive vomiting
If your dog is also having these symptoms then he might be suffering from canine bloat that is a life threatening conditions. Due to canine bloat stomach can be twisted due to filling of gases or air after eating. If your dog is not having above mentioned symptoms and eating, drinking and playing normally then no need to be worried about his condition. You can also discuss this with your local vet.

She may be either constipated or swallowed something. You should call your local vet.
