It depends mainly on what type of spider bit you. Typically, they look like small red pimples that hurt. The can be various shades of red and they will swell.

One Blurtit User Stated:
"I noticed when I put my hand down it hurt on my knuckle by the pinkie. Upon looking at it, I noticed a red circle about the size of a dime and a raised blister in the center. My pinkie actually feels rigid rather sore to bend. And the blister hurts to touch. There is no itching."

And Another, A Self-Confessed 'Medical Assistant':
"If you notice any type of redness, pimples, or swelling you can try Benadryl. If it is really painful and you get a fever etc., you may want to see a doctor. Good luck and take care."

I agree with the previous answer.  I am a medical assistant.  If you notice any type of redness, or pimples, or swelling you can try benadryl.  If it is really painful and you get a fever etc.  you may want to see a doctor.  Good luck and take care.
