What Can I Do If My Hamster Has An Eye Infection?

Hold the hamster by the scruff of the neck like you do with a kitten or a dog, when you do this. It incapacitates them long enough to get the paper towel to the eye, and make sure it is very wet.
Set the hamster down for a moment to let them do the cleaning to the eye, and then repeat the process until the eye looks clearer. Don't use soap or anything else, water might be just the ticket to get it cleared up.
Do it a couple of times a day if need be, eventually the hamster might understand what you are trying to do, or he might resent you doing it, but for his health, it wouldn't matter to me if he did resent it.
If it does persist, then I would at least call a vets office and talk to an assistant, sometimes they can tell you over the phone what you might be able to do. Hope this helps, good luck.

I put eye drops for pink eye on his bad eye and in a couple days it should go away that is what I did to my hamster and it went away

Having sticky eyes could be a symptom of allergy or an infection. Sometimes eyes get sticky due to some foreign dust particle in it. You should use a clean cotton swab, soaked in lukewarm water to clean it. For allergy, take 1 cup boiled and cooled water, mix 2teaspoons of boric acid powder in it. You can use this mixture to wash his eyes to rid him of allergy. But if this treatment does not show any improvement in his eyes condition, consult a vet.

Warm moist compresses to your hamster's infected eye would probably help. Also if you were able to tape something over it to keep it from scratching at it. They are notorious scratches.

You should take it to the vet or a local pet shop they can give you some eye drops or something
