Doxycycline are antibiotics and used to treat bacterial infection. This medicine can be used in animals but with consultation of vet. It should not be used in your dog as self medication. Its oral dose in dogs is 2.5 mg per pound body weight or 5 mg per Kg body weight after every 12 hours. In my opinion, you should get advice from the vet before using this antibiotic for your dog.
