I Found A Hurt Butterfly And I'm Now Taking Care Of It. What Do I Feed It? What Will It Drink? Where Do I Put It?

I gave my hurt butterfly a piece of a butterfly bush, a stick, some soil, and a variety of flowers, (mostly colorful). It looked dead at first, but after only about fifteen minutes, it started to move. Don't touch it's wings, that will only hurt it. If you must move the butterfly, do so by holding it gently by its body. :)

Mix 3 tsp of sugar in 1 cup of water and soak it up in a sounge or napkin then place the butterfly on it (feet first). X

All you can do is put it in a shoe box or bigger box, with air holes and some parts of plants, flowers, that are natural to it. It will either heal and you can set it free again or it will die, but at least it will die in peace thanks to you...

Give it honey and add some soil for minerals that should do it.

The butterflies usually eat the plant and flowers and drink water from the plants. So you should put the hurt butterfly in a safe box and place a plant and some water in it.

What be for you skip me pleas read this its a true story well one day I was at my fort and I found you butterfly it had a broken wing and a broken leg so I made it a Pile of leves that dint work so I got this long leave and put sticks thru it and it stood up and there was one more stick left and so I stuck that up Nere it and I put the butterfly near the stick and she climbed up it and  when  she got up on the leave she started to flap here wings and flew  a way I named here Dotty and I never saw here Agana. Butterfly's eat and drink they eat flowers and leves they drink water from the flowers

Put it in a cage put water in  the cage  put flowers so it can eat.

I gave made my hurt butterfly a home :) I put some soil, a bunch of bright flowers, some butterfly bush, and a tiny bowl of water with a pinch of sugar in a plastic container, (no lid). My butterfly looked dead when I put it in there, but after fifteen minutes, it started flapping its wings. It still had a broken leg, but after giving it "physical therapy" (putting a stick underneath its feet and letting it walk toward the butterfly bush piece) it finally walked to the end of the stick and flapped its wings and took off. Give it some apple, banana or orange- it will give it plenty of sugar, i have an injured butterfly that i have been feeding for 2 weeks now, mine can't fly.

I found a butterfly yesterday and she can't fly,  she only hops.  So I took 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of sugar and she kept on licking it!  I hope that helps

I think the best way to cure a butterfly is to give it sugar and water. This technique also works with bees and other insects. After leaving it in the garden for a while it was able to walk around and jump. The butterfly made a quick recovery after a couple of days.
