You should feed a baby rat, goat milk. You don't have to go and try to milk a goat but it comes in a can in the cream section of a store.you also will need a little medicine dipper.feed it at least once an hour. But be care full, don't let them eat all they want to because there little belly's will bust that happened to me about a month ago.emily sad.and don't feed them cold food.heat it in the microwave for about 5 seconds or it will get to hot. After you feed them fill a sock with about a cup of rice and put it in the microwave for 15 seconds and lay the baby on the sock and lay the part with no rive over it.    My baby rat was not even 2 hours when I found it and I set my alarm and woke up every hour and feed it. Well the problem was I gave it all it wanted and its little stomach must have poped because its belly turned white.I only had it for two or three days.  I buried it with its rice sock, andits eyes were just barly begging to open.

Start with whole milk then each week add a different food group week two add fruit(not to acidic bananas, apples and pears were a favorite) then go on to veggies. (you can used cooked veggies if they aren't salted or seasoned but they will have less nutrition so not recommended) then the last week week you can add meat but it must be cooked completely. Rats are omnivores so they eat both veggies and meat but try to give meat only occasionally. And after the first 4 or 5 weeks you can substitute milk with water but before that always change out the milk to have fresh milk at a minimum of every other day.
