They are very poisonous relative to their prey which means that although they may be super poisonous to a fly they may not be poisonous to a human.

Daddy long legs are not the most poisonous spider in the world.there are different type of insects called the daddy long legs for example the crane fly a winged insect that looks like a large mosquito is also called a daddy long leg its not poisonous. The long-legged cellar spider the ones that you find in your house is actually poisonous but cannot harm a human.Thats because there fangs are to small such as a brown recluse spider which teeth are very small and hard to penetrate human skin.its venom is no where near as poisonous as a funnel web spider or a black widow, therefor there not  the most poisonous.I know your wondering how do we know it has poison can't hurt humans thats because in 2004 Host Adams Savage subjective himself to a cellar spider bite, proving that the daddy long-legs could penetrate human skin. The results Savage reported nothing more than a short lived very small burning-sensation.nothing happened then no wounds or sickness, also scientist milked the spiders poison to test on humans still nothing happend. The poison is used for amnesty and other things so this proved that they are poisonous but not the poisonous spider in the world .!

Daddy long legs are not the most venomous. What is harmful to a fly is not harmful to a human. Not to mention the name daddy long leg is used to describe many insects/arachnids. The one most people are so use to seeing and calling a Daddy long leg is the one with only one section for a body, which houses their eyes, fangs, and legs. This is an arachnid, but not a spider. A spider has two sections, not one. Not to mention, this arachnid has a penis, which spiders do not. Now the other one that is a spider is also poisonous as well. Daddy long leg is also used to describe a mosquito hawk. The insects that look like giant mosquitoes and eat mosquitoes.

Not true! Their fangs are actually plenty long, and long enough to penetrate human skin, and second, their venom is next to nothing.

Check out "Mythbusters" Season 1 Episode 13. They prove my whole point in the episode.

Basically it is just a MYTH that someone decided to make up for no apparent reason at all.

It is BOGUS
